Usually, we don’t talk an awful lot about CBD oil, let alone devote a whole post to it and the simple reason is that it’s still illegal in certain countries. However, there is good news, more countries start to adopt it and even in Thailand where you could land in jail for smoking a joint now approved the use of marijuana for medical purposes.
Don’t get me wrong though, marijuana and CBD oil are two completely different things. For one, weed makes you stoned or high depending on the amount you put in your joint or how refined the quality is, while CBD oil doesn’t contain the ingredient that’s responsible for making you stoned, THC that is, you can look it up in the dictionary or on the web to see what the letters CBD or THC mean, it’s really not that important but it does prove that the healing effects don’t come from the stuff that makes you feel great.
Personally, I used to be a heavy smoker of weed, literally 3 grams a day for almost 15 years in a row, day in day out without exaggerating, not that I’m proud of it but at some point, I started to develop anxiety. Anxiety is terrible and as easy as it comes, well easy, it took 15 years, it is very difficult to get rid of it. Sure there are medicines that aren’t available over the counter, hence require a prescription, such as diazepam and clonazepam but once you start with that there is no way back. In fact, it often makes it even worse when you stop taking it due to withdrawal effects. Some people that I know took Clonazepam and had a very hard time when stopping cold-turkey, as for me, I’m more sensitive to that when I stop taking Diazepam.
CBD turns out to help a lot of people who deal with anxiety and the irony is of course that I, as a frequent weed smoker developed anxiety due to smoking weed, and now CBD which is made from weed helps me relieve my anxiety. It literally can’t get any weirder then that can it?
